Super Computer Predicts Final Division Two Table

Super Computer Predicts Final Division Two Table
As we enter the business end of the season, the numbers have been crunched by the MFF super computer to predict the final standings in Ardern & Druggan Division 2. The algorithm takes into consideration current form, points tally, results to date and run-in fixtures. Having processed the information available, the computer predicts that Colby will narrowly hold on to their current top spot and emerge as champions just above an advancing Marown side predicted to benefit from their games in-hand which will now come thick and fast. RYCOB, who in contrast to Marown, utilise several youngsters appear to be a team in form and are set to snatch third place with Castletown dropping away slightly. Who knows what reality will actually bring!

Is the Isle of Man Premier League Relegation Battle Over?

Is the Isle of Man Premier League Relegation Battle Over?
The current Canada Life Premier League table makes grim reading for DHSOB and Foxdale alike. With Braddan picking up 3 pts at the weekend in an away win vs Ayre, the fight for survival looks all but over. Mathematically it is of course all to play for but realistically it's a three horse race with Braddan several yards in front. Ayre are basically safe on 21 pts unless by some miracle Foxdale can win all their final games by some huge margin to reverse the goal difference and drag Ayre back into the mix (and of course assuming they don't pick up further points themselves). Old Boys can finish on a maximum of 17 pts with only the potential for improving goal difference keeping the maths alive, Foxdale could get 21 pts and Braddan 26 pts. Tuesday's fixtures may finally settle matters and it certainly looks like the two to go down will be DHSOB and Foxdale, but with those two still to meet again, who will finish bottom might very well change from the current picture in a battle for honour.

Isle of Man Fantasy Football Player Choices - Premier League

Isle of Man Fantasy Football Player Choices - Premier League
Whilst it's tempting to stick to the league topping clubs for your fantasy football team selections, with the likes of Peel AFC's Tomas Brown and Corinthian's Sean Doyle making up close to 50% of all captain choices in the last gameweek and Brown being in 85.7% of teams, below we will explore some different options to consider. Laxey AFC's Ed Kangah is one such option sitting in 4th position in the total points tally having amassed 149 pts this season, yet only features in 14.3% of teams and not at all as captain. Union Mill's Tyler Hughes is also in red hot form. Yet he only features in 9.5% of team selections with 2.4% as captain. Foxdale's Jason Chatwood is also a regular goal scorer of late having netted in each of his last 3 outings. Yet is almost non-existent in fantasy team selections. Corinthian's Luke Murray appears to be a long term absence recently and hence Josh Ridings or Dan Simpson would possibly be a wiser choice for those looking to select a player from the current league leaders. Onchan's Tom Creer is also a solid choice to consider, going quietly about his business on 138 pts overall, yet only featuring in 11.9% of teams. Next post we will turn our attention to the Combi.
