Peel AFC have been crowned champions of the Canada Life Premier League for a second successive season after their fixture versus Old Boys was awarded as a walkover, with DHSOB unable to field a team.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the table, the great escape for Foxdale is now over and they join DHSOB in relegation to the Ardern & Druggan second tier next season. Foxdale have battled hard in their attempts to secure survival, having won two on the bounce, but finally sucumbed 3-4 vs St Johns this weekend which affirms their fate. Too little too late.
It's still all to play for in Div 2 in terms of the second promotion spot, with Colby AFC already crowned champions. Marown seem to be having a wobble and have lost their last few games. RYCOB are currently sitting pretty in second spot.
However, there are plenty of points still up for grabs for RYCOB, Marown, Castletown and Pulrose alike, all of whom are technically in contention for promotion at this point.

Four goals from Jay Chatwood and a fifth in the 90th minute from Kondwani Silwamba lifted Foxdale off the bottom of the Canada Life Premier League with a 5-3 win over Ramsey on Saturday.
As Billy Goat Park basked in warm sunshine, Foxdale finally put in a performance worthy of all three points, having come increasingly close in recent weeks.
Finding themselves 1-3 down at half time, it looked like a familiar afternoon for Foxdale, but a full team effort saw them pull back the deficit early in the second half and then subsequently emerge as deserved winners.
In truth, Ramsey never really looked comfortable when the ball was played in over the top or behind and Chatwood netted four as a result.
However, perhaps the cherry on the cake came in the dying moments when Silwamba won the ball back from a position where he should never have been given a sniff of it. He then scored the resulting one-on-one with aplomb, followed by an acrobatic back flip worthy of the Olympics (other than perhaps the landing). The final whistle came seconds later.

MFF managers will be able to utilise a new chip from gameweek 6 that covers the Women's league fixtures on Sunday 26th April.
The 'Girl Boost' chip allows a player from the Women's League to be added to your matchday squad and any points they accrue will be doubled and added to your gameweek total. The chip can be used twice in a season.
Welcome to the game ladies!

As we enter the business end of the season, the numbers have been crunched by the MFF super computer to predict the final standings in Ardern & Druggan Division 2.
The algorithm takes into consideration current form, points tally, results to date and run-in fixtures.
Having processed the information available, the computer predicts that Colby will narrowly hold on to their current top spot and emerge as champions just above an advancing Marown side predicted to benefit from their games in-hand which will now come thick and fast. RYCOB, who in contrast to Marown, utilise several youngsters appear to be a team in form and are set to snatch third place with Castletown dropping away slightly.
Who knows what reality will actually bring!

The current Canada Life Premier League table makes grim reading for DHSOB and Foxdale alike. With Braddan picking up 3 pts at the weekend in an away win vs Ayre, the fight for survival looks all but over.
Mathematically it is of course all to play for but realistically it's a three horse race with Braddan several yards in front. Ayre are basically safe on 21 pts unless by some miracle Foxdale can win all their final games by some huge margin to reverse the goal difference and drag Ayre back into the mix (and of course assuming they don't pick up further points themselves). Old Boys can finish on a maximum of 17 pts with only the potential for improving goal difference keeping the maths alive, Foxdale could get 21 pts and Braddan 26 pts.
Tuesday's fixtures may finally settle matters and it certainly looks like the two to go down will be DHSOB and Foxdale, but with those two still to meet again, who will finish bottom might very well change from the current picture in a battle for honour.
